I started pedaling very early, at 6:10 in the morning. After 8,5km on the main road I took a turn to the left and I cycled on a small secondary road with less traffic and much nicer for cycling.

As usual I woke up at 05:30. I loaded the bike, went to pay the bill and said good-bye to Ella.

This morning I slept a little bit longer, until 9 a.m.
Like usual I had breakfast at 10a.m.I enjoyed the Sri Lankan food an the beautiful view of the landscape from my breakfast table.

I wanted to sleep long after the tough ride yesterday, but unfortunately I woke up already at 7 am.At 10 o’clock I had breakfast.

I knew it would be a hard ride today.
As I went down to start at the door of the resort still was locked. I looked around and I noticed that the key was there just stucked inside the lock.

Although today I planned to cycle only 44km, I started very early at 6:30a.m.

The night was short. I went with Anette to the airport at 11p.m. and when I got back to the guesthouse afterwards it was already half past midnight.

We started early although today it wouldn´t be many kms to cycle.The first stretch was leading through the outskirts of Anuradhapura and for about 50kms you have to cycle on the main road, the A9, which leads to Kandy.
