We decided to explore Alajuela a little bit today. First we had a nice breakfast at the Soda „El puntal“ just opposite of our hostel. We had a lot of fun with the three ladies who run the buisness, nice place.
After we went to the center of town – the plaza with the cathedral – and then looked for some bicycle shop. We found two of them, one also close to our hostel called „Ciclo Deportes“. The owner „Marco“ was very interested in my bike and spent a lot of time talking to us. I promised to come around with the bike, so he could check it out.
The other shop a little bit farer away near the cementery called ‚Ciclo Mimi‘ had also very friendly staff. I can highly recommend both shops here in Alajuela. In the „Ciclo Mimi“ they had some empty bike boxes for us, so we will be able to pack our bikes for our flight to Germany..
