Leaving Mannar we cycled on secondary roads. While crossing the sea we got the gift of a beautiful sunrise. The sunbeams on the water made the waves shimmering in a magical way.

A heavenly morning. No sun out yet, so it´s cool and fresh and almost no traffic. When we got closer to the sea we suddenly could feel the friendly wind from the back. Cycling is really fun with such terms !!!

We took it easy today, slept long and had breakfast quite late.
Another guy was sitting with us in the guesthouse yard, and as soon as he started to talk you could say this one´s from Germany!

It was heavenly not to get up early. We had a relaxed breakfast in the yard of our guesthouse.
As we didn´t feel in the mood to explore the city, we did the every day affairs like washing the clothes and writing this journal.

At 06:30 we were on the road again. The air in the early mornings is fresh and cool, we enjoyed.
As soon as the sun comes out, it´s hot, so soon we cycled with the assecoirs that are so familiar to us already: sun hat, sun glasses, sun screen and so on.

We didn´t sleep too well. Although the fan in the room was on the whole night, the air was sticky. This fan had only two speeds to go. If you turned on 1 it went very very slow and if you turned on 2 up to 5 it would go at maximum speed.

Incredible, I could start cycling finally!
The “Good-bye-ceremony” with Milton and family took alittle while and we were late anyway a little bit, so in the end we started one hour later than we had planned: 8 a.m. instead of 7 a.m.

After our lovely breakfast we hang out all day long just doing nothing. Listening to the beautiful singing of the birds and watching the world go by.

I feel so much better today, I slept very good.
We had a wonderful breakfast and after a wonderful shower. The place is quiet and peaceful and I´m surrounded by the loving care of Milton´s family. Very much healing energy here!

Again I was feeling shity at night. I tended to get fever again, so we needed to take some desiciones how to go on. Finally we changed our plans. I was really pissed.
