A very surprising A 4 road. So quiet, almost no traffic, a little bit hilly, running through a beautiful landscape-part of it right through the jungle. The rest is mountains,rice fields and sunshine. We found an injured snake on the road today.
The poor animal surely had been hit by a car, although there was no visible injury, it was half dead. It still moved when we were touching it, but couldn´t get away anymore. It was such a beautiful animal with a beautiful green color.
We went on and some guys by bike the were passing us the other direction, but they didn´t even stop, which is quite unusual. Normally you get excited meeting other travelers by bike, you exchange tour experiences and have a small, nice chat. Maybe they were in a hurry?? Sad.
We arrived in Obbegoda at 2 p.m. and had a real nice and warm welcome at the „Queen´s Inn“, a family run small guesthouse with an attached restaurant. The rooms are quite basic, but the food is fantastic.
They will prepare everything fresh for you, if you tell them what you want to eat. For us, the mother of the owner cooked in the evening and it was just one more time fantastic.
