At 3:45 the taxi was there to pick us up and we got to Frankfurt without problems. Almost no traffic on the highway at night. After we finished the Check- in we had two coffees and went to our gate for boarding.
It was so f.. cold inside the airplane, I think the A/C was at its maximum. Even the stewart was welcoming the passengers with a scarf around his neck.
At Schiphol airport Amsterdam (huge airport!) the connection flight to Colombo was easy to find and the flight was comfortable without any problems.
We arrived at midnight in Colombo. Our place had organized a pick up service for us, and as we spoke the first words to the driver we already felt why we had decided to come here a second time.
People here are of an amazing kindness and happiness – they really laugh a lot.
After almost 20 hours travelling we got in our room, had a beer and fell into the beds.
