Kalpitiya: Trying to get healthy

Saturday January 20th, 2018

I had a horror night. Couldn´t breathe nor sleep. Our bungalow hasn´t really windows, just some wooden grid construction with curtains in front and you feel the wind blowing inside. This might be fantastic when its really hot, but for me at night it was bothering on top of it all.

We asked the owner for another one and we could move in a bungalow with real windows and a real bathroom with real walls – so much better.
After breakfast I got to bed again. I slept for hours. The owner provided us with an electric kettle, so I could make myself a hot tea at anytime. He is very helpful.

I felt better in the afternoon and we went to town with a tuk tuk to buy more medicine. The young tuk tuk driver was a small Michael Schuhmacher and seems like we still have to get used to the rough way of driving here, tooting all the time.Nor cows, goats or dunkeys on the road mean an obstacle to them, it is amazing how they move through their urban jungle without slowing down.

We got all the stuff at the pharmacy we considered as helpful and we bought some other things like water, more tea, some crackers etc. The pharmacy was a supermarket at the same time, that´s efficient!

O.K. then, so I hope this night is going to be better at last.
