Thursdsay 24, January 2019 00 km – Total so far 1784km
Day off!! But at 5:30 in the morning Hernan’s telephone was ringing….. I almost killed him. He had forgotten to put his alarm off. Oh no! Anyway, around midnight somebody already had knocked at our door like crazy. I woke up and I shouted what the f.. is going on there??? I really was furious.
Finally it seemed that a drunk guy couldn’t find his room anymore and got lost in between all the doors.
In the end at 9 o’clock we were awake, definitely. We drank some coffee right there in our hotel and then took a walk downtown. This city isn’t nice at all. It’s big and doesn’t really have a city center. We took a tuk tuk to go to a mall just to see something different. Well, we strolled along for some time and then got back to our hotel.
I decided to clean my bike and to check all the screws. I put oil onto the chain and then everything was o.k. again. Bike Friday really is a very good bike and Rohloff gears are the best ever!!!
Later on I took a shower and in the evening we went to the night market again to have dinner.
Some school kids were playing music to collect money for the poor was very interesting
Today felt like “holidays”. Awesome.
We will see where the road takes me tomorrow…..
