Around Negombo: First little tour

Wednesday December 25, 2013, 18 km (11 miles) – Total so far: 18 km (11 miles)

We had breakfast at 10 o´clock in the guesthouse garden. We took a nap (still suffering the jetlag) and went to explore the environment a little bit by bike. At the beachside you could see a lot of bars and restaurants, but everything made for tourists, almost nothing authentic.

We had another rice and curry although, which tasted great again. The traffic on the street (mostly tuk-tuks and motorbikes) was heavy and everyone seemed to be out on the street for it was christmas day. We got a first idea of how busy the towns could be and we were happy to go back on side roads, like we came already here.

You can see another sri lanka here with cementaries where cows are browsing and people selling coconuts at small stands beside the street.
Tomorrow we`ll leave to the city of Chilaw in the north.
