Sunday 27, January 2019 50 km – Total so far 2140km
Today I woke up a little be later – at 7:30 am. I really had a good sleep last night, I was very tired.
I started to pedal and after 8kms I stopped to have breakfast. Of course fried rice with chicken.
It was easy to get out of the city. I used google – the pedestrian mode. I was lucky, it took me today through really beautiful roads. I was cycling on farm roads with a lot of paddy fields on both sides and you could see how the farmers were working.
Sometimes there was the smell of the fertilizer they use.I was riding on a small road when I saw the entrance of a temple that was built of a bat figure. Interesting. Ok I thought I will check that out…. I stepped inside into the court and there was a big tree full of – guess what? Yes, of course, big, big bat’s! I asked a guy about the species and he told me that they are called “chicken bats” here in Thailand. To be honest, I’ve got no idea why.
After taking some pictures I continued my day trip always changing roads. Sometimes very small and narrow, sometimes dirty. Here and there were some water channels and people were fishing.
After 2,5 hours I already arrived. I check in in San Sook Place Guesthouse. Basic but clean. With A/C, fan and including breakfast.
I took a shower and I went to eat down the street.Back at the guesthouse I took a power nap – lovely! Later on I uploaded some pictures. Chilling.
In the evening I went to the so-called weekend market but I didnt like it too much. I walked around and I found a place to eat close to the market. Here are many stall restaurants and I had some green curry. It was really tasty, delicious.
Like this Thai food must taste.I got back to my room and I watched some videos. No exact plans for tomorrow – I will take it easy and see what I’m going to do. I am not in a hurry.
On Thursday I will go to Bangkok. So from now on: holiday !!!
