Vientiane: Strolling around

Friday 18, January 2019 00 km – Total so far 1372,5km

Today I woke up at 9 o’clock. I was so happy I could finally sleep a little bit longer. I went to have breakfast at a fancy place on the main road. I had a baguette sandwich with chicken and a very good coffee.

Later I met Hernan and we walked to the market. It was very interesting. There was a part where they were working on jewelry and you could see how they make jewelry with very precarious instruments. Cool.

The rest of the market was like everywhere – you can buy almost anything. Walking around town we found the famous Black Stupa .We stopped at a small stall and had a couple of fresh fruit Smoothies. Lovely.

After Hernan wanted to look for some zipp off trousers but unfortunately he couldn’t find one. I went back to my guesthouse took a shower and got out again to get some massage for my legs and feet. This time I was lucky. It was much better then in Luang Prabang.

Later me and Hernan went to have dinner and surprise surprise: the young German guy I cycled with for a short while when I left Chiang Mai was here. He was staying with Hernan in the same hostel. We went to another Indian restaurant and the food was as good as yesterday.

I went back to my guesthouse after and on the way I bought some m&ms because I wanted to watch some movies. Holiday!!!
