Like always I woke up at 6. I think I still need to get used to the time here. I got ready eating my two egg-sandwiches and loading the bike.
Outside it slowly started to rain. I checked the weather report and there they said 70% rain. What can you do? I took my rain jacket and started to pedal. Boom – it started to rain.
Rain all the way to Chiang Rai. Some few times it stopped, but not for long. Also temperature was only 19°C.
Lucky me that I took my new rain jacket (Karpos Lot Rain Jacket) which did a wonderful job. It kept me absolutely dry.The road was nothing special. As it was the main road there was quite a lot of traffic. Cycling was a little bit boring.
I got to the city at 2 o’clock and found my guest house without any problems. I took a wonderful hot shower and I ate something.After I went to look for a bike shop to get a front rack. I could find one called “Fat Free Bicycle Shop”,very good.
The guy who was working there changed a rear rack to form it into a front one. Looks very stable – we will see.While I was waiting a Russian guy came in travelling with a racing bike. He wanted to help but only spoke russian what was very funny and we laughed a lot.
When I returned to my guest house named „Chat House“ I did some laundry and had dinner. Tomorrow I’m going to stay here – the weather forecast is bad anyway.
