After having breakfast we decided to visit some relatives of a friend back in Germany. We got the direction and phone number before we left for our trip and yet we were quite unsure if we should call and drop by or if we shouldn´t. In the end we called.
Well we went there and we found Matilde with her husband Hugo. Both retired, but still doing some private catering for small amounts. They were unbelievable. We had to sit and eat one of Matilde´s homemade schnitzels that tasted wonderful, and they immediately begged us to stay for the night.
The house was not exactly big, but they offered all they could, It was really heart moving how these two people were welcoming us, we felt like some members of the royal family!
They ran around, they cooked, they called their kids with their families, they just were so excited to have us in their house.
In the evening a daughter of Matilda passed by and we went to a shopping with her and the two kids to buy some ice cream (of course we weren´t allowed to pay!) and we sat all down in Matilde´s house and had a lot of fun eating ice cream and chatting.
